For those of you who don't know, whether you're here from Facebook or twitter or haven't seen the tumblr posts, I'm currently working on creating a lyric video for The Reverb Junkie's "Good To Wait It Out" remix from the feat. compilation Michelle recently posted on her tumblr (also SoundCloud). The idea is to get the entire frandom involved keep everyone invested while awaiting the release of Michelle's album (and any other new music). I (and team4eyes, who convinced me it was actually a good idea) also thought it would be a great way to show how much the frandom supports her work by collaborating on a project of our own. I've asked frans to submit handwritten or sketched out chunks of lyrics, which I'll be editing together to create a, well, lyric video. You know, the things that are all the craze these days. Most of the lyrics have been claimed, since I've had this project going for about five days on tumblr, but you'd like to participate, you can check here for the updated list of what's available! I'll keep everyone on the forum updated of the progress in this thread, and on tumblr and twitter of course. If you've already claimed a lyric, thank you, and check back soon for an updated (soft) deadline! If you haven't and you'd like to, there are still a few lines from the last couple choruses left! |

How do I participate? I'd like to have this line: It’s good to get away sometime, it’s good to get away. You're in luck! I have one of that line left. I'll mark it off on the tumblr post! I can't remember if it's in the original post or not, but what you do is just write out the lyric and either scan it or take a high quality photo (most cell phones these days have pretty high quality cameras so that would be fine). You can be as creative as you want with it. I know at least a couple people have added some extras, like glasses over the e's on the word "see." Someone asked me if they can be written on objects and then photographed, and that's cool, too. With the motif I'm planning to use (seeeecrets), just about anything you can think of will work! thickglassesmc, I'll mark that line off for you! bugarzbunz, I know right? The lyric video for " Be Your Everything" by Boys Like Girls utilizes a handwritten technique, albiet one that's completely different from what we're doing. Jason Mraz's " I Won't Give Up" is another good one to check out. As I said above, though, you can be as creative as you want. Write it in block letters, write it out in cursive, print, include doodles, write it on a postcard, notebook paper, basketball. The sky's the limit (as long as it can be scanned/photographed)! yesmichellechamuel, Man, I hate the ones like this. The last "It's good to get away..." was just claimed. I'm sorry! BUT I do still have two "Oh (oh) we run (we run, we run, we run) just to find the way to change" lines available if you would like one of them! EDIT:OMG you guys! All the lyrics have been claimed! You guys are amazing! If you didn't get a chance to claim any lyrics, stay tuned, because I have a couple other ways you can participate that I'll be covering in a FAQ post later today. |
