The third season of The Voice premiered on September 10, 2012 and aired 32 episodes. Several changes were made this season. Each team increased from 12 to 16 and, during the Battle Round, opposing coaches were finally given the ability to steal the singer that was sent home by the original coach. The third season also introduced the Knockout Round, which, like the Battle Round pits two members of the same against each other. Additionally, voting and Eliminations in the Live Rounds changed dramatically, providing contestants who charted in the iTunes Top 10 with the iTunes 10x vote multiplier and eliminating the two lowest vote getters each week, regardless of team. This was also the first season to feature a Top 3 instead of Top 4 Coach Blake Shelton continued his winning streak with pop-rocker-turned-country-singer Cassadee Pope, and also took second place with Scottish rocker Terry McDermott. Finishing in third place was Cee Lo Green's Nicholas David.

Melanie Martinez was my Season 3 favorite! She was weird. Yet to me, her weirdness was what set her apart from all other contestants. Her rendition of the songs was also haunting and so 'Melanie'-y.

Mine was defiantly Melanie! Although I wasn't completely obsessed with her like I am Michelle I still bought all her songs and was super upset when she went home.

I didn't watch much of this season, but I liked Cassadee Pope.

I didn't watch much of this season, but I liked Cassadee Pope. I didn't watch this season until the semi finals and finale, but my girlfriend loved Cassadee Pope and was so glad she won. |

Melanie had a great talent too. She was probably my favorite on this season

I feel like Melanie was everybody's favorite. I L O V E D Amanda she was so amazing. I also fell in love with Dez and then I actually ended up meeting him which was probably the greatest thing to ever happen to me.

I stopped watching season 3 after Caitlin Michele was eliminated. She definitely wasn't the best singer but she was my favorite! Which is funny b/c one of her names is also Michele (spelled diff. tho) and she is also from MA. Now I just follow her on tumblr and instagram but it makes me sad that she discontinued her music! She's taking a break, sadly.
