Introduce Yourself

Hey Chammies!
I just want to start off by saying I have read every single one of the introduce me posts and I am SO EXCITED that FYMC and tunebomb (you guys rock so hard) made this forum so I am able to interact with all of you amazing frans. Anyways, I'm Claire or clairexxalyce on tumblr(obviously from my screen name, I'm 17 and going into my senior year of high school. I live in California, actually pretty close to where The Voice was filmed and I kick myself everyday for not going to a show. I started watching The Voice during season 3 and I loved the concept of the show, it was different then all of the other 985628 other singing shows which I liked. I'm not going to lie, I was not a chammie from the very begging; while I did always like her she wasn't my absolute favorite until after the first set of live round eliminations. Once she became my favorite I spent hours watching all of her interviews I WAS OBSESSED! Pretty much all of my friends think I am weird because of this, so it's nice to be able to talk to other people who love her just as much as I do!
Honestly, I love all of Michelle's songs (even if they sucked I would still love and listen to them) but my favorites would have to be All I Think of Is Love and You Don't Know. I know, I know you're thinking like "wow how original people who don't even know who michelle is know those songs", but I just really love them because whenever I listen to them (which is basically all the time) I just picture little Michelle singing and dancing around in her house.
I can't really think of three interesting things about me. I'm actually just a really boring,weird, creepy fangirl who spends most of her life on Tumblr (aka stalking the Michelle tag). I guess I will go since I feel like I have written a book.... you guys all rock and you're the best framily ever!

Hi! My name is Katie. I'm 14 (15 in Sept.) and I'm a sophomore. I watched The Voice seasons 1-3 but I didn't watch season 4 right away. My mom loves the show and she'd always talk about Michelle. "Michelle was amazing tonight!" and "Michelle's rendition of Just Give Me A Reason was beautiful". Even Ellen DeGeneres mentioned she was her favorite so I just had to check her out. It was a couple of days before the finale when I finally watched I Knew You Were Trouble and Michelle just blew my expectations out of the water. I ended up watching all of her performances multiple times, along with some interviews and My Dear Disco/Ella Riot performances.

I found out about this forum through posts from tunebomb and FYMC on Tumblr.

My favorite song from the voice was Clarity. My favorite My Dear Disco/Ella Riot song is For Your Love. My Favorite Reverb Junkie song is All I Think Of Is Love.

Three things about me:
-I've played softball for nine years.
-I over think things like school. I'll worry about the small errors that I think I made, but it always ends up being nothing. It'll actually keep me up at night.
-I used to be TERRIFIED to sing in front of anyone until a couple of months ago. I finally sang with my friends at a sleepover and they were all so surprised. I didn't burst into flames so that's good

Hi Everyone. My name is Jaz. I think this board is a great idea. I think Michelle is great and I enjoy her music. I usually avoid the singing competition reality shows but I am so glad I turned the TV on the night of Michelle’s Blind Audition. After hearing her voice and learning more about her, I found myself using my DVR to record every show just to either watch Michelle’s performance again or fast forward to her. Anyways, thanks to everyone who took the time to create this board. I look forward to chatting with you guys.

Hi Frans! My name is Brittany and I'm 23 and starting grad school in psychology in a couple months.

I found out about Michelle through The Voice-I always just watch the blind auditions and then I realize I can't stand Xtina and Adam fighting and stop watching. But they weren't in season 4 luckily!! This season was in the middle of a lot going on at school though so I didn't watch after the Blinds. But then after school was over I was at my grandparents and they were watching The Voice and I caught Michelle's Performance in the top 5 episode and I thought she was amazing as well as the other contestants I saw. But hers was the most entertaining and I looked up some of her performances on youtube and found an interview she did where she said "I hope you're all having great weeks and if you're not find out what's gonna make it a great week and do that" I try to surround myself with positive people like that so that instantly made me a big fan so I watched the season and was happy to see she was just as humble and positive as I expected her to be! I see her as a role model for myself and women/girls everywhere so I looked up her pre voice music and watched interviews with her because her energy is contagious!

Found out about this forum through Tumblr, but I'm not into Tumblr so I'm glad you guys made this!!!

Hello fellow chammies! My name is Aly and I'm 16 years old! I never used to watch the voice but my family did and so I just so happen to see the one and only Michelle Chamuel audition and I've been hooked ever since! I found this forum on tumblr on tunebomb's and fymc's blog! (: Michelle's music is literally ALL I listen to and it's really cliche but I love all of them! But a couple that are exceptional are, Amsterdam, Avalanche, Cry Baby Cry, Good To Get Away, Hey Hey, & The One To Glow AND SO MANY MORE! Well, I like to sing. I hope to get into BYU or UMass and get into a career of Psychology! & I love opera music and Disneyland and sunsets and chuck taylors and photoshop. That is all. Love y'all.

Boy oh Boy.   I just zipped through what was already in here in the "Introduce Yourself" posts.    I REALLY am the oldest so far.   Come on......

My name is Theresa.  (aka) Perma-Grin.   I am 44 years of age...will be 45 in less than a month.  I have been listening, playing and sharing music for most of my life.  It keeps one sane.  And without it, I would never have accomplished what I have done so far in my life.

I was born in Michigan, grew up in Texas and am currently living in Tennessee and probably will be living here for the rest of my life.  I really like it here. I enlisted in the service (1986) retired 2006.  I currently work for the USPS.  I LOVE MY FREAKIN JOB.  I have ZERO people to supervise. I work with the best and most accepting folks in the world. 

I have followed, met, and heard so many people who make music.   There is no room or time for me to share all.  But, the most interesting was:   2002 Tuzla Bosnia. I was on a 9 month NATO tour with 12 people from the State of Tennessee.  MWR (Moral, Welfare and Recreation) was sponsoring music groups to tour the region to visit troops in the surrounding area.  One night, CORDAY was doing a concert at the gymnasium in the area.  I missed the damn thing due to other things that I was slated to do.  The next day, I was making a run to pick up mail and other stuff and who did I see walking down the road sticking out like a rose in the middle of military fatigues.   Jennifer Corday.   OMG..... I pulled over and got out and literally talked with her for 45 minutes.  What a surprise.  In the middle of Bosnia I find music.  

I had a huge library of tunes In my office.......had to.   I would never have lasted the trip without it.  I Drove everyone crazy from 4:30 AM till 8:00 PM at night.  
  
Why am I in here and such a Michelle Chamuel Fan.    This is the reason why:     This lady is changing everything.  As noted in a letter I wrote to her and also posted in this site, this was the right time, The Voice was the exact show, and she is the right person for this change.  Its amazing how a new generation of women (WOMEN) can make that change happen.  Make people just want to be kind, more excepting of those who may be outside of the norm.  That woman was on a mission to get her voice heard.  And did she ever do that and then some.  .....  Remember Adam Lambert     He's good.  Really Good.    But..... too much!  Wrong Time.  And I'm guessing not a real big thinker.

I learned about MC from Afterellen.com.  My life is extremely busy, and I try to get my news the best way I can. Via the internet.  I have been visiting Afterellen.com since the year it came on the net. ( A LONG TIME)  I don't know HOW I missed that first interview that was 2 or 3 years ago.    It may have been a bad week or something, whatever the case this is where I first learned about her.   My opinions on the last interview.  That REALLY was a horrific interview.  .........    haven't been in there as much.  Still reeling over the abysmal questions thrown at her.    Best interview, from my point of view.   Rolling Stone Mag.  2 thumbs up.

Oh......most important.....I am a lesbian.  Have been my entire life.  I am so VERY grateful to have witnessed this wonderful change.  History is always evolving .....  and I have never had an actual Perma-Grin planted on my face by anyone until now.  I never got it from Ani Difranco, Indigo Girls, Etheridge, Malone, Joan Jett, Corday..........almost did from Melissa Ferrick. Michelle Chamuel...........sings I kissed a girl.........totally did not expect that at first glance.     From the Meet the artist point, singing the song, then questioning of coaches. THEN SHE ASKED the QUESTIONS........turning point.      Perma Grin. Every song she was slotted to sing - Perma Grin.     Can you feel the change?   It's in the air, it is everywhere. This woman will go extremely far.    T.

My name is Molly and I'm 22 years old. I'm not a big TV watcher and I haven't watched a singing competition since the early seasons of American Idol, but I saw that Usher was going to be a new judge on the Voice so I decided to watch. After her "Raise Your Glass", "True Colors" & "Call Your Girlfriend" performances I was hooked. I haven't been this big a fan of an artist in a long while.

I found out about this forum while browsing through Tumblr and I thought I'd give it a whirl.

My favorite MC song is "Is She Gonna"- this song is very motivational to me. It encourages me to get out there and accomplish my goals. One of my favorite songs by any artist, ever.

So, I just read all your introductions, and here's mine.

Real name is Janice, I like to use jangy, it's a combination of my first and last name. . I am 31. And it's good to know that I am not the oldest. hehe. But yeah, definitely, the older ones.

I found out about Michelle from The Voice. We love the Voice. Our family watch the Blind Auditions and we say "Turn around!" as if the coaches can hear us. ^_^ I've liked a lot of contestants from the previous seasons and would throw in like 10 votes for that contestant but that's it. It was really different for Michelle. She really left a deep impression on me that I YouTube-ed her right away. I was an instant fan! Seeing her in You Dont Know and When The World Was Young just really cemented my admiration for her. The more I got to know of her the more I love her, so yeah. ^_^

I found out about this forum from Tumblr and Twitter. You guys are awesome --- Thanks a lot for making this!

Favorite MC song. I do like them all but You Don't Know, Floating, Avalanche, and Dong Say It Didnt Hurt at some point each looped forever in my playlist.

Hi everyone My name is Leen (short for Aileen)..I'm 28 and I live in the Philippines. For about three years, I stopped watching singing competitions like Idol and never actually watched the voice until this season. And man, I am so glad I let my friend convince me! I learned about MC through the show and I have been in love with her ever since. I am more of a Broadway/showtunes type of person, and I sing as well But when I heard her... She sings it like she tells a story, and she moves like the music is making her muscles move..^_^ I learned about this from FYMC It's been a while since I've been active in a forum. I'm Meagan, pronounced Meg-an, i'm 16 years young and from Maine. I'm so happy to be a part of this frandom as I posted earlier on tumblr! To FYMC & TuneBomb, you guys ARE awesome for making this! such a great way for all of us to connect.

I found my guidance in Michelle after she helped me make a positive change the second I heard True Colors. But i've been a fran of Michelle since she she stepped on the Voice stage. But I want you to all know that I wasn't only interested in her Voice performances, but super intrigued and moved by her songs before the voice. All very inspirational, she really knows how to connect with the song and people. It's amazing how she uses her talent to connect with the people listening. So with that I LOVE YOU MICHELLE.
I wish I could share my favorite song but they honestly are just all so amazing and it's hard for me to choose one. But I really like, replaceable, prayer for tears, good to get away, when, we will meet again, and is she gonna. Well scratch that every song by her, ella riot, MDD, or even collaborations are all my favorites!
Three things about me are I LOVE basketball, Michelle's my inspiration (obviously), and I want to go to Umass to become some sort of a nurse. One additional thing I LOVE to play the piano.
